We’re excited to be running a valuable workshop on Saturday 18th March, in partnership with Lovewise.

Lovewise develops resources on the subjects of marriage and sex, encouraging young people to consider the God-given design of marriage and the wisdom and benefits of keeping sex for marriage.

We will be running two main sessions on 18th March, hosted by Lovewise support worker Julie Maxwell. Julie works 2½ days a week as a Community Paediatrician and one day a week for Lovewise. She is also a governor at her local primary school.

The event is free of charge and open to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, carers – anyone who would benefit from understanding key challenges facing young people today. We want to ensure as many parents and carers as possible can come, so please let us know if you need to bring children with you. We can then arrange for a DVD, colouring activities, etc. to be provided on site (with supervision).

Session 1 (9:15-10:45am)
  • Why parents need to be equipped with knowledge and answers
  • Why we need to think about relationships from a Biblical perspective
  • Good reasons for teaching abstinence before marriage
Coffee – opportunity to browse resources (10:45am-11:00am)
Session 2 (11:00am-12:15pm)
  • Key relationship challenges facing girls and boys in 2017
  • Being aware of online dangers (and getting the balance right)
Closing Q&A (12:15-12:30pm)
